Rattling Start, Engine Ticking, No Window controll
My 2002 Durango is in great condition with only 94,000 miles until recently. Now every time I start the vehicle cold, it makes a rattle noise which sounds like it's coming directly from the center dashboard/hood. Once the vehicle is started the noise subsizes. What could this be? While I'm at it let me add that I hear a ticking sound while driving and the speed of the ticking is in relation to the amount of acceleration. Could this be a loose belt? One last thing - all but the driverside window controllers do not work. Any help would be most appreciative

the window issue is simple, you have a bad drivers side master control panel, or you have a bad connection at the plug to it.
the ticking sound, is it in relation to engine RPMS, or to vehicle speed (miles per hour)???
also the engine and driveline configuration you have is needed before we start throwing out any ideas with any degree of certainty.
