Default oil pressure gauge maxing out on key on

hi, i have a 99 durango 4x4 with a 5.9, i just replaced the pcm with one from auto computer exchange. everything seems to be working great except when you turn the key to on the oil gauge goes to about 80 or so for a couple seconds then maxes out and stays even after you start it. turn it off and it does the same thing the next time. i have no idea what it could be i dont think its the pcm but i have no clue it never did it before. any help would be great. thank you

Ummmmm, yea most likely a bad rebuilt PCM.

What about a bad oil sensor?

id say its a bad oil pressure sending unit, but it could be a bad pcm, especially if you got a rebuild, if its bad they should exchange it for you free of charge.

What weight oil are you running, what kind of oil filter is on it, and how long has the oil filter been on there?

I also suspect it's a oil pressure sending unit failure and not a bad PCM problem if this is your only issue you're experiencing. If you have a cheap Fram filter that's been on there for 5 or 6 months I'd start by replacing that however!
