You are mad at the dealer for a misquote over a $1 battery?

I was thinking the same thing. The last time I bought new batteries I think it cost me $6.

We live in sad times when a car dealer wont even bother to replace the batteries before they sell you the car, makes you wonder what ever happened to good customer service, yes it may just be a few dollars, but it still sucks.

Oh you got me! Let's get mad over a $4 battery. Whatev. You obviously miss the point entirely. There's a penny over there on the floor.

Here is your battery for 87 cents.

You owe me some change.

neilb, I agree 100%. Shameful isn't it. I hate everything about car dealers from the new car side to the used car side. There is little virtue there at all.

That was my first thought when I read the post as well.... is the dealer *that* tight on profit that they let it go out the door with dead batteries? Wonder what else was skimped on?
