Default '02 with Steering issues

Now that our new to us '06 Ram 2500 Turbodiesel and brand new Rockwood Travel Trailer are home, it's time to get back to some issues with our Durango. '02 D, 4.7, 4x4. 122,000 miles. It has developed a bit of a steering issue. When turning corners the wheel is harder to turn than normal. Lane changes on the highway appear normal; it's only when turning corners that you notice it. Changed out the power steering fluid and it got somewhat better, but still turns harder than normal. What is the logical next step? Pump?

i would check for leaks in the ps lines, but if your not loosing fluid i wouldnt expect to find anything, if there are no leaks i would say the internals of the pump are starting to wear out

What's your tire wear look like as well? Worn suspension / bad alignment will also cause a harder steering feel. An '02 with 120k miles is bound to have some suspension wear if it's all original.
