Default 99 5.9 won't stay running

This morning I walk out to my rig to go to work and to my surprise the battery is dead. I get it jumped and it starts, but as soon as I let off the gas it dies. I'm shacked up in a hotel because my a/c's out (which in AZ can be lethal) and can't get to any of my tools since my rango's out of commission. Anything I can check or do with nothing at my disposal but my trust gerber?

Sounds like it could simply be your battery. A weak battery can cause a Durango to stall out as well as the obvious "no juice to start".

start by replacing your battery, even if they have enough juice to turn the trucks over the pcms in these trucks may still be unhappy.

Like everyone else said, the fact you have to get it jumped should have been your answer then and there. Just buy a new battery and be done with it. Honestly from what I've noticed Duralast Gold is the best money can buy for what it's worth. I've had my Duralast Gold for about 3 years now and it still crank over with no hesitation day in and day out.

$110 for a 800 CCA and 1,000 CA battery that comes with a 3 year free replacement and lifetime limited warranty, you can't really beat that. Autozone part number 34DT-DLG in case you were wandering too...
