It's over next to the engine oil on the end panel. They sell one that's 4oz and one that's 8oz. Get the 8oz bottle for $5.99 and be done with it.
"valvoline durablend synthetic blend, 80w-90, tough driving formula" http://www.valvoline.com/products/br...nd/gear-oil/62 can be used in conventional and anti-slip hypoid differentials, however it does not have the "Friction Modifier" in it for the clutch packs. Trust me, go get the 8oz bottle and suck some out of the fill hole and place the entire 8oz bottle in.

Steal the turkey baster out of the kitchen and put a small piece of tubing on the end to suck out some fluid. When the "better half" comes out to the garage asking if you've seen it, just play dumb.

i believe he still lives with his parents, so his mother probably wouldnt fall for that, but my dad and i did that for the brakes not too long ago, my mom was pissed that she had to buy a new one . . .
Much more fun to steal it from the kitchen! It kinda makes things even for the $20 that leaves my wallet by itself every once in awhile.

LOL.. ok... so i should get some gear oil and friction modifier and drain and refill the differencial before it goes to the body shop? sounds like a good idea to me. just a little curious as to why i should do it befor the body shop...
