My 4.7 has the exhaust leak on the drivers side, where the manifold meets the Y pipe, and I also get that tick sound for about a minute, one sounds a bit more metallic, and I really can't describe the exhaust leak sound, I'll be getting that fixed soon, will be easy enough.

Not another oil thread? https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...d-located.html I would get a Mobil One FS filter and Mobil One FS oil and see it it helps alleviate the issue.

+1 Compact.........It could be a exhaust leak!

I switched to the Mobil 1 synthetic 10w30 w/ the Napa gold filter ( I had a few left so I used it) it did not help the noise still there so back to the drawing board! lol! I begining to wonder if the filter could be the problem? I dunno?

They've already said it, there isn't a thing wrong with your 4.7, even mine does it. It is just a normal thing with these engines.

I am slightly becoming annoyed. That tick is normal, it happens to all of these 4.7L engines.

Well, I am trying to find out the problem and get it fixed as I hope you would do the same if you were in my shoes.
