Default 1999 D stalling

I have read numerous horror stories of the stalling D. This problem is now occuring in my D. I contacted the Dodge national customer service center (1-800-992-1997) They informed me that no one has ever reported the stalling problems of the 1999 "D" to the national center. They issued me a reference number (this is important dont let them hangup on you without a number) informed me to return to my local dealer, have a diagnosistic test done. Then call them back. They can go on line and see the results. As you and I know the problem has to be duplicated in order for them to find it. And of course there will be no code listed to show the fathom problem. I then contacted the NHTSA hotline (1-888-327-4236 or NHTSA.DOT.GOV) This is the agency that issues recalls!! You can telephonically or via email file a complaint for this potentially fatal problem. The representative who took my complaint assured me that each complaint is reviewed and researched, especially since a fatality could occur from this problem. If a recall is directed, those of you have had experienced out of pocket expences for unnecessary work or to correct the problem, (i.e. PCM replacement) maybe reimbursed. So if anyone who wants to get involved and have had your problem corrected or is having the problem.
1) Get a assigned reference number from the national center.
2) Get a Dodge dealer evaluation.
3) if you had the problem already corrected. Give the national service the job order number. This is establishing your complaint.
4) Contact the NHTSA via phone or email. File your complaint, obtain a reference number.
A lot of "D"'s out there who are unaware of this potential fatal problem.

Have a 99 Durango SLT with the exact same problem. I called Dodge to register the problem, got a reference number then called the NHTSA to register the complaint.
