Default Engine size???

Hi, new to df just bought a 2000 Durango slt v8 magnum used, but the guy didn't let me know what the engine size was and in that year it came in 4.7 5.2 and 5.9 but for the life of me I just can't find were or how I can find it so any help would work. Thanks.

Under the hood when you open it up there should be tag with what size. It will be close to the front and have some other info on it. Hope this helps.

There should be a white sticker on the underside of the hood that tells ya or you can tell by the VIN... it will be the 8th number in. 2000 they used N=4.7 Y=5.2 or Z=5.9

Example: 1B4HR28(Y)0WF100001

This truck is a "Y" so it has a 5.2L

the 4.7 is easy to identify visually from the other two, it has no spark plug wires! (also was only available on the 4x4 models in 2000, and the 5.2 was only on 2wd models) the 5.9 was offered on both drivelines iirc
