I'm talking about right at the trailer hitch, not any where else!

Right where you would plug a trailer in at the back of the truck, that is the trailer plug. Now if you have an OEM 7 wire round plug there is a harness that plugs into it right at the back of this plug so you can replace just the plug. Disconnect that.

Negative. It has the new 4 pin plug. Maybe the wire has a short in it? My tail lights don't turn on with my headlights either. Big problem.

It appears to be factory, or its just a clean connection. I have a 2nd 4pin in the rear storage bin so idk. The plug wraps around my hitch a little then splits two directions along the driver and passenger side. There is also this little black bok with a rubber deal sticking out with a red push/pull switch in the brake pedal area. Maybe ill get a pic of it when I'm done with this wedding recption dinner later.

I understand you folks may be preoccupied, but I also would like it it maybe I got some help? My parking lights blow the fuse as soon as I turn them on. I had a brief look at my wire to see if it was kinked or something but found nothing, but then again its wrapped up.

After checking the parking lights, I found that both corner lights were blown, Im going to replace the bulbs and buy more fuses since ve blown two of those as well, would this be enough to pop a fuse?

Well after hardcore checking my wires and plugs, I had a corroded plug and the wire touched the exhaust pipe melting thru and exposing the wires. I replaced the plug and snipped the wired and connected it all with. 16ga weatherproof crimps with shrink tubing. I wrapped up all of the wire that I cut with electrical tape and viola! It worked. I appreciate the help shrp and hydra, I'm glad I could get this fixed before I got rear ended by an 18 wheeler doing 75 down the highway.
