Default Over heating???

I have a 99durango and it has just started overheating on me. I replaced the thermostat and it still runs about 210 and the water will get lost and suddenly shoots up in temp I even tried to remove thermostat all together and no help.I don't see any leaks for the water and I have replaced the water pump about 4 times in the past it just not acting the same. Any suggestions? I've been told possibly the clutch on the water pump to freeze plugs blowing out.

Is your clutch fan engaging? It could be toasted if it isnt the rad. Sounds like a friggin wind tunnel when its engaged.
