2000 durango power window switch
Front passenger window will not go up or down using either the driver master switch or the window switch. I ran wires from a spare battery to the regulator motor and the window went up and then down when I reversed the wires. I would think it is the switch but considering the driver nor the passenger switch work for just this single window it seems odd. Any ideas??
Thanks

Drivers door will override the pass door so the drivers door is where your focus should be.
Open hand "smack" the switch a few times. Thump it with a deadblow hammer, etc. See if that knocks some emergency sense into it. Then if the wiring to the switch is all fine, prepare to R&R the switch or simply replace it. Under $20 at a junk yard with a 30 day warranty. Dealer price new may be $125 perhaps.

Let me ask you this then....if I unplug the driver door master switch will I be able to operate the passenger window switch (assuming that it is good)? Or does the master switch need to be plugged in to get power to all of the other switches?
Thanks
Thanks
The master switch has diodes in it and wiring to the other windows. If you take out the other window switch in the door that is in-operable then jump the leads you can tell if it is a motor issue or a master door switch.
