Default Ceramic Brake Pads

If I buy ceramic brake pads for my 02 D, do I need to buy a different type of rotor? Mine are in good shape, was just gonna have them turned rather than replaced, but wanted to make sure I idn't need anything special.

First let me say it is always good to replace or turn your rotors. Ceramic pads are good. If you are looking for performance then maybe some drilled rotors would be in order. But if your just looking to get away from brake dust I haven't heard anything ever about having special rotors for them you'll be alright. Don't forget to lubricate the right spots on your calipers!

Lubricate on the arms of the pads and surface were the arms touch the holding bracket. Also look for wear on the holding bracket and if you see a divot. If so, sand it down so the pad arms can slide across them easily with no obstructions. Second, clean and lubricate the pistons before you push them in to the caliper to make room for the new pads. Remember to open your bleed valves while pressing in your pistons so that contaminated fluid does not go into the master cylinder or ABS sensor.
