I made a post about this 99 durango 5.2 4wd. as i stated in that post I replaced several things as today the battery is one of them The car has spark and wil run like a champ then idle down...I have checked for vacuum problems checked most grounds and connections so with the type of prob I am having , I dont believe it is the cranshaf position sensor as it was running great and fires up fine...its not the asd It is not the fuel pump..
So I decide that I should find and replace the camshaft position sensor and whule I am at it buy and replace the map and if necessary the crank sensor though I do not believe this is the problem,

just before this post I went to advanced auto, autozone and napa and they all told me a I dont have one??? The guys at autozone argued with me that I did not even have a distributor..7 durangos later and numerous sensors from the heating probs and I know there is a camshaft pos sensor in that disttrib on that durango...Is it now called something different...I am getting tired of being told it does not exist when I was holding it in my hand. does anyone know where to get this ellusive / non existent camshaft position sensor.
