Default Transmission Replacement Question

I recently purchased a used transmission for my 98 Durango (5.2) I have to do this in my driveway, and was wondering if anyone can give me some tips. I have replaced a trans in my Mustang 5speed before but NEver an Auto.. I am wondering what the best procedure would be to make the job as painless as possible.

It is a whole lot more work,

You have to remove the, rear drive line, transfer case, then transmission. Get a large box of zip-lok bags and a magic marker. Label everything and take some camera shots.

Here is one for removing the T-case: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...placement.html

Thanks for the link and reply.. I am doing the transmission tomorrow. When I pull the Transfer case out of the way, HOw do I take the bolts off the Torque converter? I read that there was some type of cover that needs to be removed then rotate the motor to get to the bolts? I assume by the way that I have to remove the front drive shaft, then the rear, then transfer case then transmission.. ? Sorry for all the questions but Im on my own tomorrow because my buddy backed out on me
