Default 4x4 lights on cluster dont work

Hey guys I am looking at trying to trade my D in for something newer. Today fiddling with the 4WD the lights didn't come on on the instrument cluster. I am trying to get the most for the trade in value on it as possible. Any ideas as to what could cause this?

Most likely the range switch on top of the Transfer Case, drivers side of the linkage input (about 2 inches above), replace the switch.

A big PITA to get to.
