Default Strange overheating problem

About 2 months ago I replaced the radiator, t-stat, water pump and hoses on my 2001 Durango with a 4.7L engine. Everything has been running great - temp always ran cool.

I just returned from a 3,700 mile trip where I had no problems until the last 1,000 miles. The vehicle runs cold when above 30 mph, but it heats up quickly at slow speeds.

Cleaned all the bugs from the radiator this am, which helped slightly. The electric fan is running and the belt fan/clutch also seems to be working fine.

What's going on?

spin the clutch fan by hand w/ the engine off, how far does it spin after you let go of it

it doesnt: clutch is siezed, replace clutch
up to 1/2 a turn: clutch is fine
more than 1/2 a turn clutch is shot(worn out), replace clutch

@shrpshtr325 - thanks for the feedback. Replaced the fan clutch on Monday night and solved the problem.
