Default Windshield wiper issues

Hello all, i'll try to keep this as short as possible. When i turn the zone selector **** to any zone where the A/C compressor and electric fan would be on the wipers would cycle three times then shut off. After they cycle i have no intermittent wipers just low and high. Also when i turn the turn signals on the wipers will come on and stay on until the turn signal is turned off. My dad had an idea that maybe when the electric radiator fan was coming on it was sending a voltage spike to the windshield wiper module so we took the radiator fan fuse out. For about 20 minutes of mixed driving it seemed to be working then the check gauges light came on and the voltage meter was reading 18 volts?!?! So i stopped shut the truck off, started it back up then it was fine. Put the radiator fan fuse back in now the windshield wipers come on when i turn the turn signals on, hit the horn and i still have no intermittent. For now the fuse is back out and seems fine but would like to get this fixed. Thanks everybody in advance for advice.

Probably not the best way to go, but if you think its voltage spikes, you could always install a voltage regulator to your durango. It probably wont fix anything, but they are fairly cheap and wouldn't hurt it.

Failed CTM most likely.

Update: went to go start the Durango this morning and it just clicked, didn't even attempt to start. Put the radiator fan fuse back in still nothing. Checked all the fuses and relays to make sure they were in all the way still nothing. Jumped it and it fired right up with no problems. I drove it probably 25 minutes with the radiator fan fuse in and didn't have any problems with the windshield wipers acting funny. Shut it off then turned it back on and everything start acting up again. If i brought my Durango to a dealership could they do a test on the CTM? Thanks, Joe.

They should be able to tell a bad CTM or PCM.

Yours could just be a bad multi-function switch.

The arm that controls the speeds, turn signals, washer fluid, and high beams? Everything works fine except the wiper speeds.

Yes that arm. Just cause everything else works fine doesn't mean that part can't be bad.

Whats the part number on the arm?

Found it, in any case i will not replace a piece of plastic for 154 bucks. I could tint my two front windows and get a windshield visor for that much.
