You got 240K out of two sets of ball joints, thats damm good IMHO average 120K each which is definitely not too shabby. Even if MOOGS don't last as they used to they are probably still a lot better than the cheap Chinese junk on ebay. 240K I say while your in there do a total front end overhaul ball joints, tie rod ends, maybe a new steering rack or overhaul, hub bearings Timken seems to get pretty good reviews, and seem readily available.

I like Timken bearings and most of their parts. In fact they are the leader in OEM bearings. Any ball joint making a great life in the Durango is hard because of the way it's built. Personally I liked my Duralast from Auto Zone because if there is ever a problem I just take them back for a brand new one and it's local.

Thanks fellas, the bottom ball joints have over 240,000 on them, idk how many miles are on the top ones. Is it fairly straight forward to just replace the outer part of the cv joint? (the part that gets worn from dirt getting in a cracked boot) like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-OUT...item2560c5f520 If s

This truck has been so good, only recently have we had to take it to the shop to get a coolant leak fixed. We used to have problems with the oil pressure but that was from lack of maintenance...oil filter got clogged so it gummed up the oil pump. Overall it has had a lack of maintenance. Its over do on a lot of stuff. It leaks every possible thing except for gas, and windshield wiper fluid, and i dont think the axles leak gear oil but who knows. But it fires right up and gets me from A to B. BTW the AC works and is cold but it leaks.....
