Default My durango died. Electrical?

Help!!! Ok so I have a 2003 SLT 5.9l. Everything was working fine as fr as I could tell. Earlier today I went out to run to the store and when I turned the key to start it, it died. I put the key in as usual and the radio, a/c, dashboard all came alive as usual. When I turned the key to start it, it sounded like a pop or click and it wouldn't start. Now when I turn the key nothing happens. Sometimes wen I put the key in nothing happens, sometimes when I put the key in and turn it the radio or a/c will work, sometimes not. Sometimes when I open the door the light work, sometimes not. I can hear a faint hummm on the drivers side just under the dash or behind the battery in the engine compartment wen I turn the key all the way forward but not turnin it to start. Before this happens there were no rough starts, no grinding, no nothing. Any ideas? Anything I should try? Anything I can look at?

You likely have a dead battery.

It's a bad connection at the battery. The click you hear is the starter relay in the PDC. Swap the relay with a different one of the same number and see if that is the issue. If not then it's a connection issue. The hum you hear is the CTM module in the drivers side kick panel from lack of voltage and amp's.

You have a bad battery, bad starter or bad connection.

Test the voltage with the key in the on position across the battery posts (not terminals) and have someone turn the key to start (engaging the starter) and read the voltage drop across the battery posts (not terminals). If you see it drop down about 1.4 volts or so the solenoid is gone and grounding or bad contacts so you will need a starter. If nothing then it's a bad connection. Check the terminals and connecting points on both ends.
