Well around here we have 87 (85 with 10% ethanol), 87 no ethanol, 89 (87 with 10% ethanol), and 91 no ethanol. By adding ethanol the octane rating will go up approximately 2. I switched to 91 and wow what a difference. Even over 87 no ethanol. I was getting 11 city 13.5 hwy with 89 listed above. I know some places you don't have an option though. My aunt and uncle that live in montana fill as much in north dakota as they can before they head back because they can't get anything without ethanol.

you should start with a full tune up (cap, rotor, wires, plugs)

I agree with Shrps. You are off by about 2 MPG, which is what I lost when I let my wires and plugs go too long, even though I changed the oil regularly.

Check your belt even, get a goodyear gatorback. If that loses grip then you start losing power.
