rear brakes draggin but not working?

Default rear brakes draggin but not working?

my 99 d hasnt been running the greatest and yesterday when i felt the back brakes where hot i pulled the drums to see what was going on anyways i had to brake the bleeder loose on the driver side to get the wheel cylinder to relieve the pressure i was expanded the whole way any ideas? thanks in advance

It could be a bad wheel cylinder or the rubber line going from the metal line to the wheel is collapsed inside.


Take the drum off and have a look for broken parts as well.

Yeah like hydra said if one of those rubber lines get's pinched internally it acts like a 1 way check valve for brake fluid.

I would attack the hose first.

thanks guys ill be sure to change that hose like i said i had the drums off lastnight and had to break the bleeder loose to get the wheel cylinder to go back together it wasd stuck expended
