Anyway,i need to ask a question pertaining to a stalling issue .before I replaced this computer, the truckwould heat up, then shut down, especially in traffic..im guessing the new computer now will regulate the tempature of the engine?since it will not climb above 130 degrees?

No the computer doesn't control how warm it gets, the thermostat and clutch fan do. It sounds like your thermostat is stuck open. How long are you driving it. What engine and year of D do you have, more info please......

The truck used to heat up,then stall within the first half hour of driving(then an hour to cool down before restarting),and since this new computer ,everything seems ok the truck has not shut down yet, and has made it through over an hour of running the truck still shows an 02 sensor code, which will soon be replaced.ive noticed when the engine is running, the main fan looks like I can stop it with my finger.should the fan be running the same speed as the belts?is there a way this can be tightend so that it does spin faster, and maybe keep the engine cooler?

Start with the basics, what condition is your belt and tensioner? Also to test the fan clutch: give the fan a push by hand (engine off), if it goes 1/8-1/2 turn it is good. If it doesn't turn after you let go it is seized, if it goes farther it is shot.

the clutch fan will spin slower than the engine until the engine gets hot, then the clutch will engage and the fan will spin at UP TO the same speed as the engine, (or close to it proportionally based on the differences in size of the crank pulley and the water pump pulley) but will not spin faster.

if the truck is running cool enough that the fan spins slower i would check it as adukart suggested and if it passes not worry about it.

dont know what's going on with this truck, mechanic said the fan clutch is fine..i dont know where I stand with this freaking truck.like I said in an earlier post I did replace the pcm because she would heat up,and totally shut down, and not start until cooled of (just to do it lall over again). since the computer, she stalls sometimes at a red light(not always)but starts right back up.. what else can make this truck still run at borderline rpms..could it be the 02 sensor....
