Is it possible that the 03 durango with a 4.7 doesn't have a power steering pressure switch? I have seen the pics on changing out the power steering hoses on the 4.7 on the do it yourself thread, and mine just doesn't have it. is it somewhere else on the 2003 4.7? or just not there? Thanks.

 

it should be there, (id guess you are referencing my thread on the line replacement), unless someone changed out the lines and put the wrong ones in, and in that case there should be a loose wire hanging somewhere nearby.

 

It should be on the pressure line.

 

I'll take pics, I've followed the pressure line all the way down to the steering box and there isn't a "T" in the line anywhere for a switch, and I don't have a dangling wire either. . .

 

the pressure line is the one which threads into the pump, the return line is onto the cooler or the reservoir with a hose clamp, its also got one hell of a weird shape to the hardline at the top
