Ive noticed here lately that when I step on the brakes I get a popping noise. It does it when I'm at almost a complete stop. Im dumbfounded as to what it is, Ive checked the brakes and even the driveshafts to see if there is a bad u-joint. Found nothing. Anyone have any input?

 

Look at the rails the brake pads slide on. Over time, small grooves begin to wear into it. To fix it, you'll need to grind them down with an angle grinder.
