You can go to the dealer and get a new one, see if that fixes it.

To correctly fill the transmission you fill it up to the full mark then start the engine, move the gear selector into reverse, then Neutral, all the way down to 1st holding at least 2-3 seconds in each gear. Go back up to reverse then drop into Neutral. Set the parking brake while the engine is still running and the transmission is in Neutral and pull the transmission dip stick and add fluid tell almost full on the cold mark.

Take it for a ride to get it up to full operational temp (15 miles) remember transmission oil takes a lot longer then the engine coolant to heat up and cool down (about 3-1 ratio). Then take out the dip stick and wipe it again after going through each gear while engine running, place in Neutral and set brake. Finish filling only to the HOT Full mark and your done. Remember to check it on flat ground.

Even though that is the correct way to do the transmission, this thread is about the engine oil dipstick reading overfull at 6quarts and on at 5 even though 6 according to chrysler is correct. Thanks anyway hydra.

I've never heard anything about the dipstick issue that Rango mentioned.Do you guys know anything about it?
I just did a change.I used just over 5 (with filter).Took your advise and used Mobile1 hydra. I know different filters hold different amounts due to the types and size of the element they use but that's usually a very small amount,I went with a Mopar filter.
Also, what brand filters do you guys prefer if the Mopar part isn't available?
