Default Wiring for trailer...help?

I need to wire my 01 for pulling a trailer, dont want to pay big bucks for the t-connector, can someone help me to just splice into my existing wiring and go to a 5-way plug?

splicing into wiring is known to cause problems down the road, you can actually get a kit from dodge to make this easier (and i think most of these trucks have a wire harness for trailer tow tucked up into the spare tire cavity, take a look).

if you are dead set on splicing then download the factory service manual for 2002 durango from the FAQ thread and follow the wire diagrams that are in there.

I know in my 03 I couldnt find a factory harness. I tapped into the wires in my taillight and just ran the wires down the hole at the bottom of the taillight cavity.
