Default '99 Durango 5.9 Front End Vibration...

1999 Dodge Durango 5.9l (114000 miles).

The passed 2 months I have been experiencing a bad vibration in my front end. I can hear it at 10-15 mph, 15 mph + I can feel it. When I get up to
55 mph+, everything vibrates, the steering wheel, dash, floor... And the noise gets very loud.

Heres the kicker, when I turn right (exit ramp), It completely goes away. Absolutely no vibration or noise....

When I was in a parking lot I turned full right for a 180deg with my window down. I could hear chirping. sounded like the rubber of the tire on the pavement...

I had a mechanic ride with me. He said it feels and sounds like wheel bearing going bad.

I replaced both driver side and passenger side bearings/hub. Problem did not go away...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

-John

I have a similiar issue, I'll post if I find the answer. Btw, a wheel alignment, balancing and rotating the tires didn't help.

Could be a CV joint or a U-joint. With turning and the sound goes away I would try the CV first I think.

All the u joints are new, as well as the drivers side cv axle. I'm hoping to find exactly what the problem is without changing a whole lot of parts. That way if it happens again, I'll know what to replace.

Did you look to see if the steering was loose. Maybe the control arm or tie rods.
