power window switch
Hi all,
I have a 99 Durango. Anyone else been having touuble with their power windows. Have had the Durango for 4 years now. Started out with the passanger swithch smoking, and failed to work took it the the shop replaced. Then something went in the drivers side passangers seat auto window. Last winter at 30 below some little 50 cent plastc piece in the drivers mechnism broke, but you have to replace the whole mechinism. And now today my passanger back seat goes out. Each time this has cost me 200+ to fix.
Anyone else have power window--woos?

I may be experiencing a similar problem.
I just bought a 99 Durango on Friday. (3 days ago) When I bought it the windows were working fine. On Saturday my sister took it out for a spin and noticed that the rear passenger side window was not rolling down when the button was pressed from either the door with the window or the driver's controls. Neither button would roll down the window. There wasn't even a sound of a motor trying to work.
Today, (Sunday) the Driver's window is failing to respond. I'm wondering if it's just be amazing coincidence that BOTH of these seemed to have broken within a day of each other. I bought a 3 year comprehensive warranty from the dealership, so I hope this is covered. I just hope that they don't try to say it was pre-existing since it seems to have occurred so soon after purchase.
