4.7 engine swap
swaping out the sludged up dead 4.7 in my '00 Durango for nice and clean supposedly good 4.7 and tranny from a '00 Grand Cherokee.
minor difference in engine setup for both vehicles. Durango starter is on the drivers side, Grand Cherokee is on the passenger side, exhaust manifolds different because of this. starter also looks different but I don't have the durango one out yet so not sure how different. bell housing seems to have a spot to put starter on either side just need to swap the correct plate that goes between engine and tranny.
this afternoon I was wondering if the torque converters are the same, not sure if the Grand Cherokee one would have a different stall for likely lighter vehicle.
