So I had finally gotten my speed sensors in the mail this week, and thought great! Ill be putting those on today!
So the trans sensor went smooth. Pulled the wires off, undid the sensor, only a couple of drops of trans fluid came out so I was happy there...put the new one in and plugged it back in. Done!
Now to the rear diff one...grabbed the box from rockauto and opened it to find just a wire harness...hmm
So I looked at my print out from rock auto and it indeeds says rear abs sensor wire harness...damn it!
So I take my work van over to Shucks and grab a sensor. Run back and go to put it on...weird, now this dosn't look right. Doesn't fit in either the wire harness nor the wire from the D...great, different brands have different plugs!
So now that I am pissed that I have gotten the wrong part twice, and have only myself to blame I run back over to shucks and what do you know!!!!!! They are walking out and closing as I drive up, I asked "Hey, I just got this not 10 min ago and it is the wrong one, can I swap it really quick?" they said..."no, we are closed." I read the sign and of course it says closed at 3PM. I look at my watch it says 2:47...I looked at them and said "well I cant drive my rig till I get this, it would only take a sec." they said..."no sorry, we are closed, come back tomarrow"
Great, so now I dont have my D till tomarrow, I got nothing bust A**holes at our autopart stores. And to top it off!!! I cant even complain to the manager of that store cause one of the guys that was walking out was the manager!!!
Guess Ill be going in at 7:30am on the nose and getting the right sensor...
