Default Carbed 5.2

How many here have a carbed engine. I do and wish it was a TB system.

Could you post a picture of this carbed engine? Just so you know, no Durango of any year was carbed from the factory. The 5.2, 5.9 and 4.7's were all multi-port fuel injected.

And what did you do with the PCM and system if you changed it over?

Are you sure you didn't misidentify? This just sounds weird.

I think this is a case of simple mis-identification. Most newer engines have a single, side or front mounted throttle body like the 4.7, hemi's, Chevy LSx, Ford 5.x...
The 5.2 and 5.9 have a top mounted TB that at a glance or unaccustomed eye looks to be a traditional carb setup.

PLEASE POST SOME PICS!!!!! No Durango ever came from the factory with carburation. Where's your pcm? How do your gauges still work correctly?ect. Not saying the PO didn't switch it but an earthquake has a better chance of build a house.

Well you could rig a mount for the tps on the carb, cap the iac plug, install resistor jumpers in the injector plugs, install a 7.5 psi fuel pressure regulator, and install a stand alone voltage oscillation unit on the upstream O2 sensor........
