Default Transmission Slipping

My 1999 Dodge Durango's transmission has started to slip or hesitate when going into the last gear. I notice it more when I am driving down hill then coast a few car lengths then give it the gas. I have to let off the gas and wait a few seconds before giving it gas again..it does not jerk or anything it just hesitate/slips....

My first question is, what would you do? It has 145000 miles on it. I've only had it a month & uknown how when the last ftransmission luid/filter change was.

it has the v8 5.9 magnum engine in it. I have no clue on the transmission type. It is a 4 wheel drive

Probably the 46re tranny with that block, have the tranny inspected before you wind up with a big bill for a replacement or rebuild. Also pm mastertech with all the symptoms.

sounds like something to do with the overdrive unit. master tech should be able to give you a more definitive answer

check the TV cable tension too, that being out of adjustment will cause all sorts of weird shifting problems.
