4x4 Linkage, Slipping into Neutral from 4wd.
5.2L , NVG 321HD transfer case.
When I bought my D the linkage was not connected to the transfer case, It was missing the cotter pin. I got a cotter pin and put it back with it adjusted as far up as I could with it in 2wd. Now when I place the vehicle in 4x4 it will drive for a short distance and slip into neutral. Does anyone have a diagram or picture of how it should be set up with the bushings. I'm thinking I am missing a bushing or something to keep the connection tight under there. Thanks guys.

Sweet thanks, Yea the end of where the adjuster on mine is missing the bushing there. I guess it failed on the last owner and he put a cotter pin on there to hold it on instead, not working out too well. Now I have to track down that bushing pretty sure I'm going to have to go to the dealer or find it online somewhere they don't list it at the parts stores.
yeah, it's probably a stealer item. I saw a while ago where someone on here fabricated a metal bar that eliminated the grommets, but I can't find it right now for the life of me.
You do not adjust it that far. You are going to need to put it back to it's original position first.
