EATX Controller are stuck in Limpmode
Alright..... This is the deal I have a 2000 Dodge Durango. I have been noticing a problem with the tranny not shifting right at all. I have takin it into the shop a couple of time saying that I Knew for a fact there was something wrong with the tranny. Well they kept telling me I was up in the night. Now that the warrenty is up on were I bought the vechile from the tranny was still having the problem and now the check engine light has come on. I then took it over to the shop and again... and GUESS WHAT those jerkies are now saying that there is a problem with the tranny. The error code I am getting is a p0700 something about the EATX Controller is stuck in Limpmode. What kind of problem is this. I really should go buy the Chilton for I know. If anyone wants the name of the place I am dealing with and they are form Utah let me know.

Well sorry to say that you got bent over. I hope you bought some Ky. Try to see if they will fix it anyway because you did come forward before the vehicle before it was a problem (@ the dealer you bought it from).
Well got an update for you all. This is the deal. I took my Durango over to a another place (which was recomended to me by a co-worker). They hooked it up and check the codes..... GUESS WHAT.... totally different code error then what was told to me. The code that came up was one for the Speed controller not the EATX controller. Instead of 500+ dollars that Utah auto repair was saying it was going to be, it only cost me 140 to get repaired. LaMar if you are part of this message board thanks a ton for you honesty and straight talk.
