Brakes/Rotors
I go to replace the brakes today and find out that you need a T-47 torx socket to get the caliper off!! Also could the caliper be bad because the wheel doesnt turn freely when jacked up? Lots of rubbing
if your brakes are sticking I'd check the hoses going to the calipers first before replacing the calipers. Sometimes when they go bad they can act like a check valve and let pressure in but not back out
Went to get a torx bit, got home to again to attempt to take off the caliper and the bit wouldnt fit!
+1 on what "that guy" said about the hoses. Sharp clued me into that one before when I had my front right locking up intermittently. You are not going to know there is a problem with the hose via visual inspection. I had a shop teacher of 30 years tell me Sharp was wrong so I tried a bunch of other stuff. In the end Sharp was right and the rubber hose was the culprit. If your truck has 100K+ on it - swap the hose - cheap stuff.
if you have a 4x4 the wheel wont turn 100% freely because you are turning the entire front half of the driveline.
that said, it is more common for the hoses to go bad and act like a check valve than it is for the calipers to go bad (unless the truck has been sitting for a REALLY long time, like many months)

If you search for that again make sure it says its for an 03
+1 on that shrp, our hubs don't freewheel
I changed my hoses and still had lock up. Changed the calipers and good to go.
Never really know until U exhaust all options I guess. I have changed the rotors, hoses, pads, calipers and hubs. Not much left. the ball joints where done by PO. Next is shocks on all four corners.

Im not 100% on this, but I think I used a T-45 on mine. After the first time changing the brakes, I went and got HEX bolts to replace the TORX. I just never really like dealing with the TORX, bolts or sockets.
I went out and got a T-45 & a T-40 the 45 is the one that fits (like dsolorio said ) Iam not in a location where there is a store nearby. Early this morning I went and put on the brakes no issues at all. Things go great when you have the right tools for the job. Road tested & no issues!
