pull the speakers to make sure one of the wires isn't grounding out the radio. I would also start looking for a amp or where there was an amp if there was no amp there shouldn't be a fuse
i cant imagine where the amp would be. i would think a simple tape player head unit could power four speakers. any idea where to look? in the dash?
the only other thing i noticed is that there is a 20A fuse for a "radio amp" in the fuse box(which is good). i did'nt think there was an amp because i do not have the "infinity" system. once again i'm stumped! please help! no radio blows!!!!

he said theres a amp fuse in the fuse box thats why i told him to start looking for an amp. if a speaker is grounding out on power or ground it could be shutting the radio off i would look at the antenna first its starting to sound like the wire is bad

How do i test the antenna? for the three seconds the radio works, it gets all the stations. heres something i didnt tell you guys yet, if you push "seek" when you first turn the radio on, the radio will let you listen to the station it lands on and as long as you push seek again in time, it will continue to play...wierd...
I bet the antenna wire is bad as others have said. Mine did something similar, woudld sometimes come on other times it would try to come on but the power would cut out on it, I re did all the wiring, nothing, then I accidentally blew the fuse last night messing with something I had no idea what I was doing, and replaced the fuse, so far my radio has not cut off. The fuse was #8 in the fuse panel on the dash beside the drivers door,
