Superchips 3865 on 2002 4.7 Durango
I have a 2002 Durango, 4.7 and 45RFE and I have been running the SC Flashpac 3865 for the last 2000 miles. I have it set to PERF 91 and I use 92 octane super unleaded.
This adds approx 20hp and 20 ft-lbs torque. I can feel the power difference, but its not huge.
My question is: Is this ok for the engine and transmission life? Do you think the extra 20 ft-lbs torque would slip the trans clutches?
The reason I ask is that if this is going to greatly reduce the engine and/or trans life, then the extra 20hp is not worth it to me.
I drive it conservatively mostly. I haven't noticed any mileage decrease or increase, but it does feel more powerful and maybe slightly quicker accelerating.
Thanks,
Louis

From an online vendor. I don't remember which one, but they offered "free" overnight shipping at the time.
