I recently purchased a 2002 Durango R/T and its has a AWD, 4HI , 4LO , but none of the lights are coming on so I dont think its going into the AWD . Is this a common prob ???? Or could it be the switch ?

Most likely it is the harness to transfer case that is corroded. Get under it and check.

 

When I switch to 4 wheel drive no lights come on for me. My 4x4 works perfect just the bulb in the dash burnt out. That's probably all it is for you to. Put it in 4hi and turn in a circle...you'll be able to tell if the 4x4 works then trust me
