Question Manifold Gaskets?

Hello Family. I took Ruby (1999 5.9) to the shop Friday to have the heater core & some sensors installed, & a full tune up. She ran great for 24 hours then the check engine popped back on. I took it back to the shop and was told that it needs some manifold gaskets? How true is that? How much would that run me? I looked on Rockauto.com and see that there are 3 differet types for my truck. Help me please

what is the check engine light code? it is unlikely that you need headgaskets from what you have told us, but you have not given us much to go by.

Yeah it would be a good idea to get the code and see where the problem lies. You can have it scanned at autozone for free or maybe pull the codes on the dash, not sure if that feature was present in that year.
