Talking 2003 durango,4.7 V8

I have had issue with my Durango cam sensor. I have changed it twice within the year, the car was stalling while driving, i would shift to "N" start the car and away i would go. The car would eventually not start at all...
i have a somewhat issue again, except this time it just stopped running.
is it the cam sensor again, or is there something else that is causing the car from staring up.
i start the car, it will run for about 5 seconds and stops.
thks for the help.

Shifting into neutral shouldn't have any effect on the cam sensor. If it's bad I don't think the engine will even fire. Are you getting a code from it? Try pulling the wires from it and see if a code kicks up as well. Look for corrosion and frayed wires.

There is also a crank sensor on the block back by the tranny. I think it's on the drivers side but I don't recall for sure. Either one of these gone will cause an issue. Beyond that, make sure you have good fuel pressure at the rail, the pump could be failing.

A good battery is also a must. Weak batteries and alternators will play havoc with these things.

the truck will run (poorly) without a cam sensor connected it will NOT run with the crank sensor disconnected.

if you need to shift to nuetral to start it the issue lies in the transmission range sensor or the nuetral saftey switch (similar parts, depends on which year your truck is which you have EDIT 2003 had transmission range sensor)
