Default broken o2 sensor connector

hi i'm a first time visitor to this site and i was hoping you guys could help me out. i have an '01 durango 4.7L and i'm trying to remove the o2 sensor that is just upstream of the cat. i have a non cali model with only 2 sensors. the red clip that is part of the double locking mechanism that holds the electrical connector in place is broken and it wont let me depress the button to remove it. any ideas on how to get me out of this jam? thanks in advance to anyone that can help

use a small screwdriver to push the red clip out, however when closed the red clip will push in flush, you need a fingernail or something simlar to begin unlocking them in some cases.

thanks shrpshtr, i appreciate the response. i ended up getting it by doing just about what you said. it just a few more four letter words and some aggravation. had it been in a more accessible spot, it wouldn't have been an issue. thanks again for the help.
