Angry 2000 Durango P0320

It has a 4.7L with 220K. It needed a rearend and power steering pump to get it back on the road, but still needs the front diff worked on or replaced. But anyway, I changed the rearend and power steering pump, cleaned the motor because it had PS fluid all over it. Now I have all kinds of little problems.

Now I am getting a P0320, and after researching the Forum, it sounds like I need a CPS. I wonder if cleaning the engine would have casused it to fail, however, it has 220k without any major work. Is this where I should start? Is there any other situations that may cause this problem?

The truck i a little rough, we are the second owners of the vehicle, but they let their kids drive it whenever they pleased. I already have it running better than when I got it, except for the P0320.

Any feed back would be appreciated.

Default

i would start by cleaning out the connector on the affected sensor, especially if the engine was covered in ps fluid, clean it up good and reset the PCM see if it comes back.

Default Will try

I will do that first, I never thouth about that. Being covered in PS fluid, cleaning the engine, it could have got oil and moisture on the contacts.

Thanks for the idea.
