Default Auto steering?

Just aquired a 1998 that steers all by itself just have to push the wheel in the right direction and let go. I see that the pressure line leaks and the pump looks to be a leaky reman anyone else ever had this problem. I think i'll get a new hose put on a known good pump and see what happens but i bet i'll be replacing the sector

Mine has been acting like that a bit too - and my power steering line is leaking too. I'll be going on the interstate for example and it wants to pull a bit to one side on occasion, doesn't seem to happen all the time. But it's not real dramatic or anything, pretty subtile. But then - I know my alignment is off to; I replaced my upper ball joints last year (Durango's are notorious for bad upp ball joints) and never got it aligned.

Usually it pulls just a *hair* to the right, if tire pressure is good, but lately it's off and on - never a strong constant pull - it might be more of the road banking to the side and it 'over reacting' - I suppose.

and I know at least two other Dodge truck owners personally that have trucks around 1999-2003 that also have leaky power steering lines. I guess our time is up on them for the 1st Gens! hehe
