Default Need Advice

Pretty new to Dodge I have always owned Nissans before and have always been trouble free but I really do like the Durangos and am looking to purchase an SUV. I have two that I have been looking at: 2001 4x4 slt 4.7l with 98k $5500. and 2001 4x4 sxt 4.7l with 159k but has paperwork showing tranny and engine replaced with a pair from a wrecked dakota with 59k $5900. I don't know much about what to look for with these for problem areas or how long they tend to last. any advise would be appreciated!

As usual check all the fluids. Just because the motor and transmission were replaced doesn't mean it wasn't done half *** or anything. Check 4x4 if applicable. Make sure transmission runs smooth. I'd try and talk them down. I picked my 2000 R/T edition up for around $3847 with tax and all that good stuff. If you can get the VIN and run a carfax, check the dealership for recall notices also. If u check around the forum u will basically see what problematic areas there are.
