Default 2000 Durango 4x4 Question

Hi everyone. I am new to the site and a new Durango owner. I just got a 2000 Durango 4x4 with a 5.9L (I love it already, lol). I have one question, however. Can anyone tell me if the 4 wheel drive is a one of the ones that has to be shifted into on the fly or do I have to put it in neutral gear first? I haven't been able to find an owner's manual yet (but I am still looking). Any insight would be great, and I am excited to be a new (to me) Durango owner!

IIRC, you can shift on the fly, or do the neutral, I do both, except for when getting out of 4wd (if you have the floor shifter) just safer to do neutral, to make sure you don't get stuck in 4wd part-time

Awesome. Thanks a lot! Do you know the max speed for shifting into 4 on the fly?

Remember though that you can ONLY switch to 4LO IN NEUTRAL. Had an uncle lock his t-case in 4lo in his 01 durango switch back and forth between hi and lo range. He just didn't know any better.
