come with the infinity 6 speaker sound system in our D's? looks like i have to replace both of my back speakers and if i can manage to convince my wife possibly replacing thr front speakers while im at it. so looking for sizes and even recomendations on speakers. thanks guys and keep modding!

 

I dont think they changed much for the 1st Gen. But I know they are 6 1/2 and I think they may be shallow mounts. But dont quote me on that...I was gonna go with Boss compition 6 1/2's but I am hoping to rewire from the deck back to avoid the amp problems I have heard of...

 

They are not shallow mount speakers as they have a factory spacer for this issue. You will need to install shallow mount speakers if you do away with the factory spacer.

 

I replaced my factor speakers with 6.5" Boss CH6530 300W speakers. Very good low budget speakers

 

I just droped in MB Quart ONX216s in the rear doors. Had to modify ring for the lip, never had issues with other speakers though. Passenger side I broke it and went straight to Grey spacer. I mounted the tweets 6in down from lock. Would like to flush mount but up high everything is in the way. I went components because the Kenwoods were getting over powered. These run 50watt rms and 120 peak. I personaly like the Kenwoods top line over Infinity. Amazon has the best deals $83 for these, makes it easy to push them to the max. Some good Bostons there two.
