Default Alternator recommendation for 99 Durango SLT 5.2L

Where and what brand alternator would you'all recommend for a decent replacement alternator?

Places like O'Reilly have good prices and lifetime warranties but you don't know if the electronics in their rebuilt models were replaced (bearings are a given).

Searching I have read good/bad (mostly bad) stories about many alternators these days, hence the question.

Ideally, I would like the price of a rebuilt but with the knowledge the bearings and electronics (or diodes) were all replaced and folks have had generally good experiences.

Thanks much...

If its got a lifetime warranty go with it most likely anything that could pose a problem was replaced because if they didn't make them good they would loose money and that's not a good way to run a buisness

The main cause of electrical failure in an alternator is almost always related to bearing failure anyway if told the wiring checks out good in an alternator there really is no need to replace that stuff the only friction created in an alternator is the bearing so the longer the bearings will last the longer the alternator lasts unless dirt, mud, ect. Get inside the alternator
