Default No Speedo?

My durango has rear only abs. Hop in the truck today and my abs and brake light is on. Thought it was weird but just drove off then my speedo wasnt working either. I got MIL code P0500. Would this cause all of these problems?

change out both the sensors underneath the truck. One sensor is located toward the back of the tranny and the other is located above the rear axle

if your abs and brake lights are on as well then the first sensor to replace would be the abs/speed sensor on the top of your rear diff. if the one on your transmission was shot your transmission wouldnt automatically shift

My tranny shifts but it has very delayed shifts. 3000-3500 to shift out of first.

the delayed shift points to the trans sensor being bad and the lights point to the rear diff sensor, i would replace them both and be done with it.
