Default Used Clockspring, Centered or not?

Okay so I have purchased a used clockspring from a fellow forum member, and now that I have it in my procession I would like to install it. How can I tell if it is centered? The unit specifically says not to turn it without being installed, It also appears to have center locks on it. I'll email the user and check if he took it off with wheels straight. Thanks fellas!

Well there is only one way I thought. Make sure you have 1/2 the length for one direction and 1/2 for the other way.

Like adukart said, I've always been under the impression there was only one way, and I've only ever R/R a clockspring with the steering wheel being dead center.
